There’s a certain energy that has been increasingly rising in the first state, possibly since the ball first dropped back in January signifying the new year. a calming, yet energetic, & purposeful energy that seems to be sweeping across the area contagiously. It’s called Genuine Connection & expression. If you haven’t felt it yet, you’re probably not looking for it or maybe it’s still gracefully making its way to you. It certainly presented itself on a specific rooftop in Wilmington last week. Hosted by the uber-talented Dj “Sondaeblu” was a unique social gathering of beautiful people, delicious cocktails, & soulfully-rich house music, not to mention a special guest appearance (or party crasher) from a few dark clouds attempting to rain away the sunny vibrations of the people. What those heavy thunderclouds didn’t know was that they were about to be energetically transmuted & flipped into one of the most positive social experiences Delaware has to offer. This is “Sondae Service”

Chapter 001 of Sondae Service took place on the rooftop of the Quoin Hotel located on Market st, June 23rd, 2024. Alongside with himself, Dj Sondaeblu brought out the beautifully talented DJ Kis (@Kiskisliss), as well as Dj Macwondo (@macwondo), & even a special guest, Dj Joyboy (@joyboydontlose) who traveled from Atlanta, GA to deliver a special curation of smooth blends & creamy rhythms. The crowd included a diverse combination of different people from all over. A colorful mix of musicians, designers, photographers, artists, nutritionists, athletes, entrepreneurs, and locals who simply just wanted to have a good time amongst good people. It was a refreshing experience that couldn’t have transpired at a more perfect time. With all the chaos & confusion we’ve all had to endure over these past few years, now more than ever people just want to have a good time with no drama, stress, or worries… especially when it pertains to someone else's problem. The one accord everyone seemed to be on that night was apparent. Life is too short for worrying. Nothing is promised, not even a sunny day. So regardless of an ideal situation, as long as there's breath in our lungs & time in front of us, just enjoy. 

The exact time & place of July’s “Sondae Service” has yet to be announced but you can pretty much guarantee it will be something you don’t want to miss.
